Create Plantings and Tasks, and Manage Your Team, from Your AI Client

Your AI client, connected to Microgreen Manager through our MCP server, can now create plantings, recurring plantings, tasks, and recurring tasks for you. Farm admins can also use it to manage their team.

Plantings and Recurring plantings

Tell it something like "I'm starting 3 trays of pea tomorrow" or "grow 4 trays of sunflower for harvest every Monday" and the AI can find the crop and put together the planting. Before creating it, the AI runs a preview that shows:

  • Grow start and harvest: day 1 of the grow cycle and the harvest day, worked out from the crop's grow time.

  • Every task: each step of the grow cycle with its date and whether it's already done, just like you'll see it in the app.

  • Anything that's behind: plantings that would already be overdue.

You get the same choices as the app's new planting form: pick a harvest day or a start day, and log trays that are already soaking or planted, or a harvest that's already done.

For a recurring planting, the preview also lists the upcoming harvest days and marks which plantings are created right away, which are created later as their dates come up, and which are too soon to grow in time. You choose whether those too-soon harvests are still created.

Tasks and Recurring tasks

Tasks are for farm work that isn't a crop step, like cleaning racks or ordering seed. They aren't linked to a crop, planting, or order. The AI can:

  • Plan a task for a day of your choosing.

  • Log work that's already done, with the time it was done. It's recorded as completed by you.

  • Set up a recurring task every few days, every week or few weeks, on a chosen weekday, or on a set day each month (like the 1st Monday), with an optional end date. The preview shows the upcoming task dates and which are created right away.

The previews run the same logic as the app on your farm's current data, then throw the result away, so what you see is what you get. We recommend always reviewing the preview first, since there is no undo from the AI side.

Manage your team (admins)

Farm admins can now ask their AI client to:

  • List your team: each team member's name, email, whether they're an admin, their permissions, and when they joined.

  • List pending invites, with the permissions each was sent with.

  • Change a team member's permissions, like the checkboxes on the team page.

  • Cancel an invite so its link stops working.

Everything created this way follows the same rules, permissions, and plan limits as the app. Recurring plantings and recurring tasks need the Startup plan or higher. Giving a team member a permission needs the Pro plan, while taking one away works on any plan.
