Breakout crop editing
In order to simplify and improve crop editing, we need to break up the editing form into multiple forms- one for each: edit yield, edit grow time + steps, edit name + notes, etc.
This will allow us to make changes faster and more confidently in the future. It will us to easily show the user what is happening when they make changes to crops. It also improves performance.

As a new user I was actually going to suggest the opposite. I find it cumbersome to have to select from multiple edit options. I would rather have an “edit crop” option and be able to change every field I need to at once.

Hi Katie. I understand your frustration with this. Unfortunately this was necessary because each part of the crop being edited can have downstream affects on your plantings and orders. For example, editing a crop’s yield will re-calculate and re-create any planned plantings to update their tray counts. Same with editing the grow cycle- it has to re-calculate all the task dates for future plantings. It was causing problems to have them all together in one edit form.
Ideally as you get things setup in Microgreen Manager you won’t have to make many large edits to your crops over time 🙂

Agreed, I thought about it afterwards and realized it was only frustrating when bulk creating new crops and was more of a learning curve issue!

Done! Crop forms are now broken out. We’ll now be able to add more info when a crop is being changed.
